OUR STORY
What is a Record Label anyway? According to Wikipedia, a record label is "a brand or trademark associated with the marketing of music recordings and music videos..." Thanks, Wiki. What is PB and Jay Records? Well ... we're a little different. We are obsessed with all things music. Created for artists, by artists. We've made great strides since then. We're lucky to have curated a self-sustainable community for working artists and ourpartners. We manage, produce, book, advise and create for our creative community. Our primary interests seems to revolve around Singer/Songwriters, although we love and work with all genres.
With a few recordings and a passion for creating music, PBJ was founded in 2011 by Singer/Songwriter Jay Psaros as a way to produce music, showcase projects and create a community of artists that can fulfill an assortment of musical endeavors. For nearly twenty years, Jay has been deeply involved with the music community both locally and nationally. His unique insight as a working artist has translated across all aspects of the music business where he found himself uniquely positioned as a connector within the industry. It's this connection, both personal and professional that has led PBJ Records to become one of the most respected boutique entertainment firms in New England.
Psaros founded PBJ Records when he first began releasing music independently nearly 15 years ago. During this process he called upon future wife, photographer Kayte Darling to help with creating content for these releases. The pair realized that they had a nack for creating great content that proved of value to working artists. It was these creative endeavors coupled with Psaros's career as a Singer/Songwriter that has allowed PBJ Records to thrive. During this process, Psaros met fellow Songwriter Carlin Tripp who has been integral in the growth and management of PBJ Records. PBJ Records maintains a professional recording studio located in Scituate, Ma., manages entertainment for a portfolio of more than 30 venues across New England and provides video and photo services to some of the regions most recognized artists.

As an artist, Psaros continues to write, record and perform. His music has been featured on Netflix, Lifetime and in major motion pictures. He frequently tours nationally alongside the likes of Three Dog Night, Styx, Collective Soul, America and many more. Psaros has been nominated for 7 New England Music Awards and has won two as Male Performer of the Year and The Decade Award. He has been invited to perform at some of the regions most recognized events in the music community such as Levitate's Flannel Jam and The Boch/Wang Center's Ghost Light Series as well as Martin Guitar's streaming series "Jam in Place."
